Scholarship Info
Information on other scholarships from Rotary International, usually for those already in college or in professional careers is available on the web sites for District 6400 or Rotary International.

One of the primary services that Rotary supports is the granting of scholarships to qualified young women and men who wish to further their education. Scholarships are typically available from two sources - first directly from the local club and secondly from the Rotary International Foundation as administered by the Rotary District in which the home club resides.

The Belleville Rotary Club provides ten scholarships annually to graduates of Belleville High School (BHS) who demonstrate qualities of leadership, scholarship, service, and financial need. These scholarships are awarded to assist BHS graduates who are furthering their education at colleges or vocational schools. The grants are for one year and are renewable for an additional year upon request and evidence of satisfactory progress by the student. Grants are currently $1500 each. Students who are interested should contact their guidance counselor at Belleville High for more information. Interested seniors are required to fill out an application form available from their counselor or downloadable from this site. (This academic year, applications must be filed with the counselor no later than February 11, 2005.) Applying students may be required to submit to an interview conducted by the Belleville Rotary Scholarship Committee prior to final determination of awards.
