The funds have been used for many purposes in the community, including:
  • Ten Annual Scholarships to BHS Graduates
  • Fischer Library Donations for Computers and Books
  • Medical Defibrillators to Belleville, Van Buren and Sumpter Fire Departments
  • Ice Rescue Equipment to Van Buren Fire Department
  • Fire/Smoke Safety House Challenge Grant
  • Koala Bears to Fire/Police Departments for Comfort of Traumatized Children
  • Microfilming of local newspapers for the Fischer Library
  • Restoration of the Riggs farm as part of a Van Buren Township park project
History of the Charles B. Cozadd Rotary Foundation

Charles B. Cozadd was a member of the first Belleville Rotary Club when it was chartered in 1938. Upon his death, a larger portion of his estate was used to establish the Charles B. Cozadd Rotary Foundation in 1980.

The purpose of the Foundation is to receive and administer funds for scientific, educational and charitable purposes for the public welfare. Additional funds are continually donated to the Foundation, and administered by the Board of Directors according to the by-laws.
